Our area is fast becoming legendary for its great food—with several restaurants boasting celebrity chefs and mouth-watering menus.

Mild Winters, “Real” Summers and Awesome Autumns!
For those of us who abhor cold weather, Jackson is veritable paradise. It rarely gets cold enough to bundle up in the winter months, and it snows just once in a blue moon.
By contrast, the spring and summer months are delightfully warm and perfect for outdoor activities. Golf courses, tennis courts and trails for walking & biking are plentiful, and the fish are always biting at Lake Cavalier, Lake Caroline and at the Ross Barnett Reservoir, where you can also enjoy boating and other water sports.
But autumn is where it’s at in Jackson. Our crisp, beautiful fall weather is eagerly anticipated each and every year, and always enjoyed to the fullest with football (of course), the Mississippi State Fair and several other exciting community events leading up the holidays.
